Jesus House, DC - The Redeemed Christian Church of God
Redeemers Community Development Corporation (RCDC)

In 2008 the Redeemer’s Community Development Corporation (RCDC) was started and registered in 2009 as a 501 c3 non-profit entity with an emphasis on Faith-Based projects. The vision of the RCDC is to further expand the scope of Jesus House, DC’s outreach efforts.

The objectives for the organization are:

  • To improve the livelihood of our community with particular emphasis on the less privileged through capacity building
  • To provide affordable healthcare to the less privileged in our community
  • To provide food and basic necessities for the less privileged in our community
  • To provide mentoring and rehabilitation for the incarcerated in our community
  • To empower the youth in our community

ARISE HOUSE PROJECT

Arise House is one of RCDC’s Faith-based initiatives, the focus of Arise House is to provide a group home to help pregnant at risk young girls between the ages of 13 to 18 years of age out of what brought them to the streets and reconnect them to a home by providing a safe haven from the dangers of the streets and the violent and traumatic experiences at home and on the streets.

Research demonstrates that young “at risk” girls who are stimulated and nurtured at home and at school, are more likely to avoid early pregnancy and involvement in the criminal justice system.

In the future we hope to partner with the state government to work on key faith-based projects of their interest.
